We are aware of our responsibility to our host country and our environmental impact on the areas in which we operate. With this in mind, Harmonic has been working closely with the environmental consultancy Blue Ventures. In 2007 Harmonic was instrumental in commissioning and co-funding an extensive environmental report called "Project Goa" on 'Sustainable waste and energy solutions' in our part of South Goa.

Following this report and with the vision of creating a working model of sustainable tourism, Harmonic are implementing the trial of eco-friendly solutions which can be extended to improving the sustainability of the Goan coastline (and hopefully other areas in India) while meeting the needs of local people and businesses.

These solutions include biogas systems, composting toilets and new ways of treating and dealing with waste. Seedling funding is being raised by Harmonic to trial and monitor some of the key recommendations of the report.
